This summer, the Marine Technology Society (MTS) and the Society for Underwater Technology (SUT) launched the Marine Technologist Certification program. In 2020, the Marine Technology Society (MTS) and the Society for Underwater Technology (SUT) entered into a pilot program to offer the Chartered Marine Technologist (CMarTech), in an effort to provide members with an opportunity to advance their professional profile through certification. Now, all MTS and SUT members have the opportunity to apply for Marine Technologist Certification through your own professional society - at all three levels of certification: Chartered Marine Technologist (CMarTech), Registered Marine Technologist (RMarTech), and Marine Technician (MarTech). |

Join MTS on October 13, 2 p.m. EDT for an interactive discussion in our Women Leadership in Marine Technology and Science webinar series - We Don't Need Saving, We Need Allies. Empowerment is a critical element of gender equality, however gender equality is not a "women's issue," nor can it be advanced solely through women's efforts. Men are important actors who can share the responsibility and participate actively in this agenda. Why? Because men continue to hold many of the influential decision-making positions. Working in partnership with women, men can be game-changers in transforming cultures and institutions that uphold harmful gender norms. |
