Hadley Clark
Program Manager, Ocean Enterprise Initiative [email protected]

Hadley Clark is a Program Manager with the Ocean Enterprise Initiative at the Marine Technology Society, where she advances innovation, workforce development, and cross-sector collaboration in ocean technology. Hadley recently completed an M.S. in Biological Oceanography at Scripps Institution of Oceanography, where she used passive acoustic tracking to analyze the dive behavior and vertical habitat use of false killer whales and short-finned pilot whales off Lāna‘i, Hawai'i, with the aim of understanding fisheries overlap to support more effective conservation and management.
While at Scripps, Hadley also served as an Industry Relations & Innovation Fellow, liaising between corporate partners and academic researchers through the Scripps Corporate Alliance. In this role, Hadley supported the StartBlue Ocean Enterprise Accelerator, leading communications strategy, technical workshops, and industry engagement.
Prior to graduate school, Hadley worked at Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution in the Marine Animal Remote Sensing Lab, leading offshore fieldwork and data analysis focused on North Atlantic right whale conservation and ship-strike mitigation. In addition, Hadley works with the California Marine Sanctuary Foundation on offshore wind environmental monitoring guidance and cross-sector collaboration.
Hadley is passionate about strengthening the relationships between scientists, industry partners, and policy leaders to accelerate solutions that support resilient oceans and informed management.
