Sea-Bird Scientific is excited to release Fathom - the latest in software innovation at Sea-Bird Scientific. Dane Lucas and Ryan Anderson, Software Engineers at Sea-Bird Scientific who led development of this project, will walk you through the Fathom interface and demonstrate how you can view instrument status and diagnostics, execute setup and deployment, acquire and display real-time measurements, process and visualize data, and more.

Presenters:

Dane Lucas has been a Software Engineer with Sea-Bird Scientific for 3 years, and works on developing new software for customers. When he’s not working, he spends his time running, playing video games, and entertaining his two cats.
Ryan Anderson's journey into software started with data processing. For most of his career, he's worked on deploying oceanographic instruments in both estuarine and open ocean settings. He has been a Software Engineer with Sea-Bird Scientific for 1.5 years, predominantly focused on new software development. Most weekends, you can find him backpacking or skiing in the mountains or on the water, sailing.
