Mark Your Calendars: 2026 Global eDNA Conference
The Marine Technology Society invites you to save the date for the 2026 Global eDNA Conference, which will be held October 28-30, 2026 in Seattle, Washington, USA. Hosted in partnership with the MTS eDNA Committee and the University of Washington’s eDNA Collaborative, the conference will convene a global community of eDNA enthusiasts from across economic sectors to build connections, learn from one another, and further advance eDNA science. When: October 28-30, 2026 About the ProgramThe conference will feature three days of concurrent sessions, focusing on a diverse array of eDNA-related topics (e.g., conservation applications, quantitative analysis, community engagement, policy-relevant communication, technological development, and many others), as well as a set of plenary speakers and plenty of unstructured time to make connections on your own. Why this ConferenceAfter a series of successful and more narrowly targeted national-scale workshops:
The eDNA community has recognized a growing global demand for eDNA information and community, MTS and partners wanted to enlarge the gathering into a full-scale eDNA conference in 2026. This conference will complement several other upcoming eDNA-relevant meetings, including the International Barcode of Life Conference (November 2026), the Southern eDNA Society meeting (February 2027), and the eDNA Society international meeting in Japan (2027).
