Design and Build ROVs - MATE ROV Academy Workshop

Description: Are you looking to bring hands-on STEM projects into your classroom? Teachers - join our FREE 2-day ROV Building Workshop, where you will design, build, and test ROVs while exploring the local environment. This place-based learning experience will help you build skills to confidently integrate ROVs into your curriculum while building your STEM network. 

• Be a student again! Experience soldering, building, and testing an ROV while troubleshooting along the way. 
• Discuss ROV applications, student competitions, and projects for your classroom. 
• Connect STEM skills while exploring Thunder Bay National Marine Sanctuary. 

Included in course:

• A 2-day instructor-led workshop, breakfast and lunch provided
• All materials provided, including tools, textbook, and Pufferfish ROV kit
• A certificate for 16 hours of professional development upon course completion
