UNOC Side Event: Advancing the Ocean Enterprise Within the Blue Economy
Date: Thursday 12 June, 1230 - 1330
Location: Scool Nice, Le Pin Hotel | 6 Rue Emmanuel Philibert, Nice, 06300 France
Description: A rapidly developing blue economy requires a globally connected ocean enterprise that provides critical ocean technology, measurements, and forecasts to drive positive economic benefits and expand employment opportunities. However, multiple technology and implementation challenges exist for observing and monitoring the ocean. Robust private sector engagement is essential in dismantling these barriers and identifying opportunities towards achieving a mature and vibrant ocean enterprise. How can public private partnerships accelerate innovation, reduce costs, and drive new commercial applications?
